Booking and Payment Options
- Bookings for our car hire services can be made via our website, over the phone, or at our Highbury office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your reservation. Full payment, along with a security deposit, is usually required at the time of vehicle pick-up. All prices are displayed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, ensuring secure transactions through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, it is important to conduct a comprehensive inspection and immediately report any pre-existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and must be signed by both parties. The vehicle should be returned in the same condition as it was collected, taking into account normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated, and charges will apply accordingly. Ensure that the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as at pickup; refueling fees will be incurred if the fuel level is lower. Late returns may result in additional charges, so please notify us promptly if you anticipate a delay. You will be responsible for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges that arise during the rental period, which will include an administration fee.
Insurance and Liability Details

You will be liable for damages or loss up to the insurance excess amount unless additional insurance is purchased. Responsibility for damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains with you, regardless of your insurance coverage.
Cancellation Policy

7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Vehicles rented through Car Hire must not be used for illegal activities or purposes. This includes racing, rallying, or off-roading, as well as transporting hazardous materials. Sub-letting the vehicle or allowing unauthorized drivers is prohibited. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Adhere to passenger and weight limits, and do not drive outside the agreed geographical boundaries without authorization.
Breach of terms may lead to rental cancellation and fees.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Highbury will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, nor for loss of profits, data, or business related to your use of our services. Our maximum liability for any claims will not exceed the total amount paid for the rental in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liabilities arising from negligence resulting in death or personal injury, or from fraudulent activities.
